Biography:
Airi had never had a good relationship with her father. He had always wanted her to be the perfect son, a hard worker and someone to carry on the family business, and she felt an extreme amount of personal pressure from him to become who he wanted. As such, when she discovered she was trans in elementary school, her father grew incredibly distant and sometimes emotionally violent towards her despite her mother being supportive.
Airi was the source of many of her parents' intense fights growing up, and she taught herself to block it out over the years. Through her abusive father, her parents' immense conflict, and often bullying at school for being a trans girl, her mental health suffered as a teenager and she found her sense of identity blurry if not non-existent.
When she went to college her life seemed to take a turn for the better. She was finally able to get away from home and start making friends who would support her for who she was, and felt maybe she was achieving some sense of recovery. However, everything changed when her father invited her home one day while her mother was on a trip. She had thought maybe this was a chance for them to reconcile or find some common ground - she was not prepared when her father pulled out a gun as they sat in the living room and shot her point blank in the head.
When Airi woke up again, everything was different. Her appearance had changed, her physical body had been moved, and the house had been set up as a crime scene. And to her horror, no one could see or feel her - she was now a ghost.
She spent her first few years as a ghost in misery. As she would learn, her mother moved out of the house after her father was sent to jail, and her death became quite a news topic. She quickly learned that she was not the only ghost in the area, but for a long time could not bring herself to do anything but lurk around the house, particularly in her bedroom and the living room. However, when the first new tenants moved into the house, Airi decided that her new purpose of existence was to terrify every person that came through her home, no matter who it was.
The old home became known as having some sort of curse or haunting on it. Objects would disappear and move, strange cries would ring out at night, and oftentimes tenants would fall deathly ill with no logical explanation. Airi thrived off the attention the house got - it was her only source of energy now that she was passed. She continues to haunt the house to this day, feeding off the fear of humans and attention her actions being the home.
